In recent times, Parasitology research has made rapid strides as a result of application of biotechnological and molecular tools. There is a paradigm shift from classical and traditional studies to modern aspects covering diverse areas such as molecular diagnosis, genomics, drug targeting and delivery. The 19th National Congress of Parasitology and International Symposium on Parasitic diseases of Animals and Man proposes a multidisciplinary approach to address the recent trends in parasitologcal research that includes role of parasites, impact of parasitic diseases on man and animals, present scenario of global changes on parasitic systems and breakthroughs in prophylaxis and control. Aspects of both applied and basic Parasitology will be covered. |

The Indian Society for Parasitology is a vibrant and growing Scientific society and organizes annual meeting of Parasitologists from all over India with the chief objective of assessing the current status of Parasitology research and discuss the challenges and prospects.
